The old adage of there is no such thing as a “free lunch” is certainly true when it comes to administering your 401(k) plan. With the implementation of required fee disclosures in 2012, it is getting easier for plan sponsors to determine what they are paying to their service providers. This article explains how TPA fees can be “priced into” the cost of the investments, thus making it appear to be “free” to the plan sponsor.​
